About 30 minutes passed since Dadri had given Zannix the antidote Ana had acquired, and the Ashandi was barely showing any signs of improvement. Just as Ana was about to ask her master if the girl was going to die, Zannix Nalee groaned a bit and started to open her eyes.

Staring at the Jedi with her exotic cat's-eyes, Zannix calmed down a little and got more relaxed in Dadri's arms. Letting out a depressed sigh, she stated:

"I'm sorry to have scared you and your young Padawan, noble Jedi. It's just that something really, really bad is going to happen to me the moment I'm caught offplanet. I wanted to kill myself because it would've been a more merciful demise for me than what fate awaits me in space."

Closing her eyes tightly, she continued with teeth clenched:

"A customer hired me to take some cargo here to Corucant and deliver it to some wealthy restaurant owner. The moment I arrived here I found out that the friggin Vorta had been planning on killing the guy and the cargo was in fact a Malastaren Igthalma Serpent - trained to strike anyone within range of when its tranport container was opened. As soon as I discovered this, I jettisoned the nasty thing into space (and hopefully its dead by now) and came to this here bar to unwind and plan what to do next. While there, I received a coded message from my employer that he had learned of what I had done and that I would be SEVERELY punished for having failed him the very moment I blast outta this place. Some guy in the bar who had been watching our conversation, recognized my employer and sadly informed me that he is an infamous murderer and gambler wanted in nearly 5 star systems - especially known for the grizzly way he has tortured and killed young women. Hearing that, I just wanted to end it all. I'm glad that I ran into you two, even though I gave you such a scare. I apologize. Oh, and if you are wondering how is it that I know so much about the Jedi and their ways, it is because my older brother was once a member of your order. He was killed just 2 months ago while fighting on Geonosis - and unfortunately the only family I had. Guess that makes me an orphan now....."
